Many thanks and best wishes to all those who attended EWB2009! We hope that you all have a safe journey home. On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to thank the speakers, for their inspirational speeches, the mentors, for their thoughts and time, and the students for their enthusiastic participation.

Inspiring Student Papers Win Awards
Student paper presentations at Education without Borders 2009 culminated in a ceremony with HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Chancellor the Higher Colleges of Technology, presenting awards to best paper presenters across the different themes of the conference.
Following an extensive refereeing process, 44 papers and multimedia presentations were delivered at the conference by student delegates of 19 different nationalities studying at institutions across the world, including two UAE national students from the HCT.

Healing art
The Children of Katrina Exhibition at Education Without Borders 2009 will showcase the intervention and impact of a program which used art in the healing process of children recovering from the trauma of Hurricane Katrina.
